Abstract

The vacuum gripper has a suction hole (18) clamped by a tube section (16), which forms a suction section (15), where a convex surface (4) that is distanced from the suction section around an annular outlet (7) is arranged in a distance to the suction hole. The central tube (1) is guided into a recess of the tube section in a longitudinally displaceable manner till a contact surface resting against another contact surface of the tube section. The former contact surface has the central tube on its outer surface opposite the central channel (2). An independent claim is also included for a method for transporting or holding an object.
